Now that the holidays are over and I'm almost caught up with all my holiday dog portraits...I took some playtime and made this New Year's Eve tag. I use a gorgeous Collie named Caroline that I photographed during the Teagarden Pet Salon holiday portrait days. You can see more of her photos at my PhotoReflect site.
Talk about pampered pups...Teagarden Pet Salon....owned by Linda Teagarden...opened her grooming and teaching salon up to Frankz Paw Printz to treat her clients to Christmas Holiday Portraits. The first day was cancelled due to the blizzard, but we were able to get in there the next week. Well, the first day went so well, Linda asked us back again on Thursday. But even after that, we had so much fun and everyone really enjoyed the portraits, we added a third day.
I've posted a YouTube of all the pets. Feel free to post it to your sites. The actual portraits can be viewed at my Photoreflect site. On that site you can order all kinds of items as well as Christmas cards for next year. Make sure you check out my Zazzle site for product items I've created from these photos. If there is anything special I can create for you....all you need to do is let me know.
PS...if you listen to the music on this video...be sure to stop the other music player in the right side column.
If you are a shop owner...grooming, pet supply, shelter, veterinarian...etc and would like to offer your clients a day or days or a week of portraits... feel free to contact Renae. We have backdrops for each season and all the holidays. With Valentine's Day and Mother's Day coming up...now is the time to book!
We called and all the Reindogs came. The Rock Island Animal Care and Control Center had a very successful Open House. Santa took time out of his busy schedule to pose with each and every pet and child. After the portraits were taken, the kids were able to make their own frame to hold their precious photos of their pet...I'd say dog, but we had cats and a Guinea Pig too!
Ten dogs were also adopted this day! New Christmas homes ....

Still playing with Christmas designs....I had done a vertical version of this one earlier, but when I took this holiday photo today of Sheeba, our Chinese Crested and Rocky, our Doberman...I couldn't resist turning it horizontal and putting them into it.
Then I had to add some animation to it....love the bling!
I also made this one into a template that you can upload your own photo into. Jump over to www.zazzle.com/FrankzPawPrintz* and check it out.
After talking with one of the ladies that had brought her dogs to the RIACC "Paws in the Parking Lot" event, I started playing around with one of the images of her dogs Archie and Nellie. I wanted to make a Christmas Card using her dogs, but the background they were photographed in .... just wasn't working. So, I lifted their image and placed it into this design. BTW...I can also put your pet into this design...just ask!
This was the original photo that I lifted the dogs from.
I also made this blank frame that anyone can upload one of their favorite photos into. You can get this at www.zazzle.com/frankzpawprintz*This has been updated to 2011.

I don't know about you guys...but we've been taking advantage of the warm weather we've been having lately by putting up our Christmas decorations. Nooooo, we haven't turned them on yet...we'll wait until after Thanksgiving. My husband has done a wonderful job of decorating the outside of our home...he's been working on it for a about a week now. We have a lot of fun with it as everyone on our street really does it up.
Anyway, now that we are back inside and he's watching the college football games, I've put some of the Christmas spirit into my work. Last time we went to the dog park I took some photos of a beautiful Sheltie that was enjoying the day there. That Sheltie was the perfect dog to use in one of my designs.
Here she is on the front of one off my holiday cards found in My Zazzle Store . This image is also found on a lot of other items...click on over and check them out.
Oh, and if you are looking for a card you can put your own pet into...here's a version that will allow you to upload your own photo right into it. Again...click on over to My Zazzle Store and check it out.

Took advantage of the sunshine today by taking Rocky out to Hasselroth Dog Park. While there we met a friend from our last event "Paws in the Parking Lot", Dutchess a beautiful Chocolate Labrador. Dutchess had her picture taken by me the same day we adopted Rocky. So, it was a pleasure to run into her again with her owner. We also met Skyler, a Border Collie and a Black Labrador that Skyler lives with. Please forgive me, I've forgotten her name. If you are the owner and you are reading this blog, please drop me a note to remind me of her name. And last but not least, Max...Maxine a beagle that kept all the dogs on their toes. Max is all about playing. To see all the photos I took today, click on over to my Photoreflect Photo Session Site
What a great event! Rock Island Animal Care and Control held Paws in the Parking Lot today. It looked for a while that the weather wasn't going to be with us, but it cleared up and all who came had a wonderful time. The RIACC adoption center ended up with 11 animals going to new homes. As a matter of fact, I adopted a beautiful Red Doberman named Rocky. He couldn't be more wonderful. Who ever gave this beautiful 2.5 year old dog up for adoption had put a lot of work into him. Not only is he housebroken, he follows commands beautifully. His temperament is wonderful....even to the point of getting along with our 6 pound Chinese Crested.
Today brought a GREAT turn out at the Southpark Mall here in Moline, IL for the 2009 Dog-O-ween hosted by B100 and Star 93.5FM. We had 128 dogs and I took over 600 pictures....whew!
Ok, I did a little spooky Halloween...and I'll do more, but tonight, I felt like doing something for the Christmas season. I also made this design into a Christmas Card...
I also made this so that you can upload your own photo into this design....
Or....feel free to ask me to put your own pet into this design....
Now I'm starting to get in the Halloween Spooky mood. You remember Isabella...a little Chihuahua that I photographed at the beginning of the summer. This picture of her never made it into her photo portfolio...but I thought for this, her expression is priceless....don't you agree?
Getting ready for Halloween...I used a Neopolitan Mastiff named Cyclone that I photographed earlier this summer. I've even turned this into a Halloween Greeting Card.
Had to share this tag I made using a photo of Vindy, a mommy boxer that I had the pleasure of photographing earlier this summer. You can see some of those photos in an earlier blog...just click on Vindy in my labels.
Today was a gorgeous day! We had dogs from everywhere show up for the Mutt Strut. After the pooches enjoyed their 1.5 mile stroll along the Hennepin River many of these dogs kept us busy at our Frankz Paw Printz photo booth. We set up an Autumn looking stage for the not so shy dogs to pose and show off. Photos were printed on the spot for proud owners to take home with them.
